LEWA WILDERNESS AT LEWA DOWNS

Situated at the foot of Mt. Kenya, Lewa Wilderness is a magical combination of thoughtful hospitality and beautiful scenery, with a strong commitment to the conservation of its abundant wildlife and diverse habitats.

The Lodge

• Lewa Wilderness accommodates up to 20 guests in 8 beautifully decorated thatched cottages, built from strong wooden pillars and cut lava stone
  
• En suite bathrooms, private verandahs, fireplace
  
• In the main house there is a cozy sitting room filled with Kenyan memorabilia, perfect for reading, relaxing and conversation around the fireplace
  
• Delicious food, much of it organically grown on this private ranch, is served on the large flagstone terrace
  
• A separate library and retreat with beautiful views over the plains, which can also be used for private candle light dinners
  
• Closed for the rainy seasons of April, May and November
