Nestled among a thick forest of trees on the banks of the Zambezi River,
Sausage Tree Camp is comprised of six spacious Bedouin-style
white canvas tents. The decor is simple and classic. Each tent is
privately located with expansive views across the river and includes a
private open-air bathroom with hot and cold running water, plus a flush
"loo with a view". A large timber deck leading from the bar and dining
area plus a swimming pool overlook the river providing brilliant views
and pleasant places to enjoy a relaxing moment between game viewing
activities.

The Camp

  • Sausage Tree accommodates 12 guests in 6 private luxurious Bedouin-style white canvas tents, each built on a raised platform with expansive views of the river
  • Private open-air bathroom, hot & cold running water, flush “loo with a view”
  • Delicious three-course meals are enjoyed under giant Sausage and Mahogany trees or in the dining tent with its huge teak table
  • A large timber deck leading from the bar and dining area plus a swimming pool overlooking the river provide brilliant views and pleasant places to enjoy a relaxing moment in this remote and beautiful wildlife setting
  • A “library tent” for relaxing during the day
  • Open from April 1st through November 15th
  • Combine a stay at Sausage Tree with Old Mondoro Bush Camp and take in all the spectacular variety the Lower Zambezi has to offer
